Steven Kambie Gele

Steven Kambiye is a Baimankanem Tambemkanem and he comes from Indu One Village near Ambang Station. Steven kambiye was a Provincial Finance Minister in the Western Highlands Provincial Government from 1982 to 1987, under the premiership of Nabuga Mara. When Steven Kambiye was a provincial minister, he funded the construction of roads from Ambang station all the way to Binzku inside the Tsenglap Territory. He was a strong supporter of the People's Demogratic Movement Party (PDM). He contested the North Wahgi Open Seat in 1987 under the PDM banner.

Baimankanem Kambie

Steven Kambiye married five wives and has fifteen (15) children. Prior to entering politics, Steven Kambiye was a coffee buyer. Steven Kambiye passsed away in 1994 at the Port Moresby General hospital after a short illness. He was laid to rest at Baimankanem's Indu One Cemetary near Ambang.
