Kumukanem Clan Of Tsenglap

By population count Kumukanem is the biggest clan inside Tsenglap. Kumukanem people are descended from their ancestor Kupus who was the son of Karap. Clans of Kumukanem, Dangekanem, Baimankanem and Kombilikanem are all descended from Kupus, Karap's last born son. Kumukanem clan's traditional headquarters was at Yappa Village.

There are three sub-clans inside Kumukanem clan:

• Sekaingkanem
• Wasekanem
• Manzkanem

Sekaing-Wasekanem: Manzkanem

Sekaingkanem people live at Kumngana, Gusamp, Ambang and Yappa. Wasekanem people live at Koswah, Kendu, and Binz. Manzkanem people live at Kendu, Bilu, Kisap and Ambang. Former Tsenglap councillor Khanjip Zek is from Manzkanem sub-clan of Kumukanem. Current North Wahgi Member of Parliament Dr. Fabian Pok is from the Sekaingkanem sub-clan of Kumukanem.
