South Wahgi District

Anglimb South Wahgi Electorate covers areas which are on the southern side of the Wahgi River. Anglimb South Wahgi Electorate starts from Kup, which is border with Chimbu Province, and extends as far as Kuli Gap. Anglimb South Wahgi is the biggest electorate inside Western Highlands Province, now Jiwaka.

District headquarters of South Wahgi is in Minj. Minj Town is the proposed provincial capital of Jiwaka Province, however this yet to be confirmed by the new Provincial Administration, and various stakeholders.

Anglimb South Wahgi is the biggest electrorate in Papua New Guinea. In the near future PNG Electoral Boundaries Commission, will separate Anglimb and South Wahgi Districts into two electorates.

With the creation of Jiwaka Province South Wahgi Electorate will extend as far as the Tuman Bridge. Major tribes inside South Wahgi are:
