Government Services Inside Tsenglap

Under the name of Government Services, following institutions are established inside Tsenglap: Kerowil PNGDF, Ambang Primary and Kisap Primary schools. Currently there is a small clinic at Kisap. For major medical cases people go to clinics at Banz or the main Kudzip Nazerene Hospital for treatment. There was a small private clinic at Kerowil which was removed some years ago. Basic Health Services is vital and there is need to establish another clinic inside Tsenglap territory.

There are two Primary Schools inside the Tsenglap Territory, Ambang St.Edward Primary School and Kisap Primary School. There was a government Primary School at Kerowil which was established in the 1960s, however it was closed down and the Kisap School was set up. The Kisap School is now known as Jim Taylor Primary School, named after the famous New Guinea Highlands explorer Jim Lindsay Taylor. There are also a number of Elementary Schools located at various villages around the Tsenglap Area.

Public Services (Institutions)

Kerowil PNGDF Highlands Engineering Base serves as a prominent government institution. Wahgi Mek Plantation's Tolu Factory ceased operations in 1999, all plant and machinery were sold by WMP management. Few remaining infrastructures were pillaged by opportunitists, vandalised by scavengers, and possessed by landowners. Where once stood the reknown Tolu Factory is now concrete slabs, overgrown with grass and shrubs.
