The Dangekanem clan is part of Tsenglap Kupuskup, and they are descended from Karap's son Kupus. The Dangekanem, Baimankanem, Kumukanem, Kombilikanem and Kulpal are known as Tsenglap Kupuskup, they are descended from Karap's son Kupus. The Dangekanems live at Ambang Village at the back of Ambang Catholic Mission Station.
Two sub-Clans make up the Dangekanem Clan, and they are:
The Dangekanem Nolminzkanem live at Kerowil and Baria, all the way down to the Wahgi River. Some Nolminzkanem live at Ambang which is the traditional headquarters of the Dangekanem Clan. There are two mini-clans inside the Dangekanem-Nolminzkanem sub-clan, and they are known as Kulump Gawam and Komulkul Gawam. Under Komulkul Gawam, also exists a small house unit called Sekaing-Ngalim.
The Dangekanem Karukanem live at Ambang, Korbulo, Tumuna, Gusamb and Kasngana. There are two mini-clans inside the Dangekanem Karukanem clan and they are known as the Karu Ngalim and Endwul Ngalim.
The Dangekanem's traditional singsing grounds and cemetary is at Ambang Karapa. Tsenglap Tribe's last and biggest ever pig killing ceremony was held in 1977. The Kumukanem and Dangekanem had their last pig killing ceremony in 1977 at the Ambang Karapa Singsing Grounds.
