Anglimb-South Wahgi Electorate covers three distinct areas geographically and ethnically. Culturally the Anglimp people are part of Melpa people of Western Highlands Province. Anglimp district boundary starts from Tuman River bridge and extends west as far as Wurup-Kaip. When travelling down Highlands Highway from Mt. Hagen, Anglimb district's western boundary starts from Wahgi River bridge near Korn Farm and ends at Tuman Bridge, near Kindeng.

Places like Kindeng, Avi, Kurki, Kuli-Gap, Komun, are inside Anglimb district. People of Anglimb district speak The Melpa Language of Western Highlands Province.

Electoral Boundary

There are proposals drawn up by the Electoral Boundaries Commission to separate the Anglimb-South Wahgi Electorate. Currently, one of the biggest Electorate in PNG in terms of population and land mass. There are rumours that in the near future, the Government will create two electorates. South Wahgi Electoreate will remain with Jiwaka. Anglimb Electorate will become part of Western Highlands Province.
