Thung Tung (Singsing):The Thung Tung singsing is an event that takes place during the preparation stages of the Amb Kolhme (Bride Price). During the Thung Tung singsing, the bride's relatives will sing songs and gather the dowries. This event takes place in the evening.
The bride's relatives will practise new songs to be sung during the Amb Gharu ceremony. So the Thung Tung singsing is basically associated with the bride price in the Wahgi Society. The main aim of the Tungtung event is song rehearsal and collection of dowery.
