The Monghoi Khongul Party
Monghoi Konghul: The Monghoi Konghul is a party put up by the Groom's family. During this party, the groom's family members, relatives and clansmen are invited to come along and make their contribution towards the Brideprice. The men's family will kill about four or five pigs and prepare a big meal so that those who are invited to make their contributions will eat the meal. The Monghoi Konghul is more or less a mobilisation event, to see whether the groom has enough logistics to undertake the bride price.
If the man's family see that the contributions made is insufficient, they will wait for some months. But if they see that they have enough resources for the brideprice, then the groom's family will initiate the Bride Price (Amb Kolhme).
