Courting - The Jiwaka Style
Mhan Bhom: This is some kind of courting event. It is usually between two young men and two young women, they will sit next to each other, singing and carrying legs. This event usually takes place in the afternoons when the sun is setting.
During the Kanand event, the men and women will start looking for friendship. Once a friendship is established, the girl might invite the man over to her village and they will start carrying legs, which is the Mhan Bhom. The Mhan Bhom means that the friends is getting too deep, which later on might end up in the young man and woman getting married.
